Truth (Carpe Diem Haiku Kai #537 (haiga)

Our host shares verses by Khalil Gibran in  his "Sand and Foam" about 'truth.

[...] "I am ignorant of absolute truth, but I am humble before my ignorance, and therein lies my honor and my reward". [...]

[...] "Many a doctrine is like a window pane. We see truth through it, but it divides us from truth". [...]

[...] "Should you care to write (and only the saints know why you should) you need to have knowledge of the art and magic of the music of words, the art of being artless and the magic of loving your readers". [...]

[...] "When you reach the heart of life you shall find beauty in all things, even in the eyes that are blind to beauty". [...]

So many to pick from and yet I find myself in serveral of these. The older I get, I do tend to lean on the last one and yet...

I think of the innocence and total dependency of an infant.  How my babies would look up at me, seemingly in awe at my beauty. Perhaps it was the breast milk that made them look so grateful but I still remember those eyes looking up in adoration. It was easy for me to mirror this as well...truth of unconditional love.
