Under sun kissed skies
she gasps at lavish blossoms
nature`s final act
sodden sense of
sadness
inhales it all with wonder
I missed the sun
untimely sunsets tell a tale
announcing autumn

Sunsets are just different beginnings...
ReplyDeleteAs the day retires...may our life continue with blessings!
Being a night owl, sunsets are really my dawn of the day:)
DeleteWonderful capture of summer's end -- words and photography!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, for reading...I do love autumn as well with the lush colours changing.
DeleteDeparting Summer ... caught in a nice haiku and with a great photo ... This style of writing looks somewhat like Tan Renga, I belief that Jules uses this way of writing also.
ReplyDeleteI like using this sometimes to complete a thought or challenge myself with the second part which is a break...I forget where I learned this but I often find it challenging.
DeleteThat departing summer.. I feel that intensely.
ReplyDeleteIt is with mixed feelings I feel it leaving.
Deletehmm I just breathe in the words
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind words and for reading:)
Deleteso sad - the realization that autumn (and winter) is on its way -- where did the time go?
ReplyDeleteGreat post --
What saddens me is not having my break on time to see the sunsets at my dinner soon...but I do have a 30 mins one at 5 ish...when the sun starts setting, I sometimes ask permission to run up to the roof.
DeleteWill we see photos then? :)
DeleteHoping you get lots of sunset breaks.
sublime work , Cheryl ! i fell in love with the last verse !
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your most kind words, I am truly humbled:)
DeleteYou created some beautiful images Cheryl-Lynn, I loved the flow and rhythm of your words.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Michael, I'm glad you enjoyed this.
DeleteTimely or untimely, there is always a tale in sunsets.
ReplyDeleteSensing Wetness and Making Sense
Sunsets are endless tales of love, lost and in between.
DeleteA lovely -- of beginnings and endings
ReplyDeleteMuch love...
so true:)
DeleteI used to weep in autumn... till I moved much further south. Thanks for reminding me I did the right thing. :-) Nice haiku.
ReplyDeleteI only weep at the end of November for a few weeks and pray for the snow to cover the darkness.
